Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Recently, application of the ground penetrating radar (GPR) has been expanding from civil engineering field to architectural engineering field. Therefore, improvement of resolution is demanded. GPR using wide frequency band is suitable for this purpose. However, it is difficult to realize wide frequency band for conventional analog technology radar, such as FMCW. On the other hand, information and communication technology has made rapidly progress in recent years. High-speed devices over 10Gbps are available. Digital GPR having wide range can be realized by using high-speed digital devices and algorithms used in telecommunications.
