Evaluation of prototype of optical multi-point sensing system based on remote power supply using fibers
Osamu Ogawa (CRIEPI) OFT2011-48
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) The author has previously proposed a new multi-point optical sensing system, based on both technologies of optical pass switching and remote optical power supply. This system enables us to drive variety of electric sensors and collect their sensing data even if there is no power equipment at their installation site. In this study, the author examined the operation flows for collecting sensing data, and developed the prototype of optical nodes with a communication function. Furthermore, it is reported that the evaluation results in basic characteristics of prototype nodes and the demonstration results showing multi-point data collection is possible in the experimental system including three nodes.
