Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) This paper shows an effect of a hybrid station (H-STA) to real-time traffic such as a VoIP application in WLANs when WLAN devices and wireless sensor network (WSN) nodes are operated in the same radio frequency band using DACROS system to protect WSN communications. However, employment of H-STA reduces the number of VoIP sessions from 41 to 16 sessions due to the heavy congestion of VoIP packets after a NAV period. This paper proposes a new scheme to increase the number of VoIP sessions in DACROS system. Simulation results show that the number of VoIP sessions which WLAN can accommodate is almost unaffected in DACROS system by using the new scheme.
