In order for a user to be able to perform efficient operation, sensuous training is required for the interface of the electric omnidirectional wheelchair operated with only a joy stick. In this paper, we developed the intuitive interface which used a touch panel and camera for the user unfamiliar to operation electric wheelchair. The user can operate an electric wheelchair using the interface with light touch and slide. We conducted comparative experiments operating an electric wheelchair with a joy stick and touch panel for evaluating the usefulness. |
