Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) MWR (Meteor Wind Radar) is located in 0.20 LS 100.32 BT at Koto Tabang, West Sumatera-Indonesia. It is a scientific instrument used for observing meteors and as they enter the Earth's atmosphere. From these observations, a wide range of atmospheric and astronomical parameters may be measured. The meteor radar has applicaions ina wide variety of areas including meteor astronomy, atmopheric physics, space research, space weather, space debris studies and space vehicle launch support.
MWR system hardware comprises two main components: The antenna system and feeders, and the radar system itself. The antenna system is typically composed of two-element Yagis for transmission and five 2-element Yagis for reception. The instrument cabinet contains all of the remaining elements of the MWR radar system. The RF compnents include a solid state transmitter operating in pulsed mode, 5 coherent receiver channels, gain control, and frequency synthesis units. The data acwuisition system is composed of 5 coherent high-speed digitation and buffer memory channel and miscellaneous timing and control hardware.
After analysis, all detected meteor events and, optionally, all required raw data stored for further off-line study. Parameters which may be calculated include meteor flux, meteor radiant source determinations, meteor entry velocities, atmospheric wind velocities, atmospheric diffusion coefficients.
Those parameter has been converted into the ASCII for further interpretation and analysis. In order to be familiar with the next installation of MWR radar system at the eastern-equator of Indonesia especially in data processing, an early data processing should be developed and it will be described in this paper.
recently the data has been stored fro 2002-now in LAPAN Bandung data base and RISH-Kyoto University data base center. In order to this work, the data obtained during 2005-2010 will be used for that case. Methos for smoothing and data shaping explore and decribe in this paper. Finally, the short conclusion related to this work will be explained at the end of this paper.
