Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) To achieve higher efficiency in mobile consumer electronic devices with a wireless power transfer system using magnetic resonant coupling, it is essential to place insulating magnetic sheets between coils and metals such as batteries located near coils. In this report, we simulated the model composed of a pair of transmitter and receiver with magnetic sheets by means of an equivalent circuit model and electromagnetic analysis. Besides, we examined characteristics for the models with a rigid magnetic sheet composed of a single piece of magnetic plate and with a flexible magnetic sheet consisted of hundreds of small magnetic chips. Through this work, we confirmed the increase of efficiency with the increase of relative permeability of the magnetic sheet. Also, we clarified that efficiency decreases using the flexible magnetic sheet, compared to the rigid type, when the same magnetic material with hundreds of relative permeability is used for both types of magnetic sheets.
