Uniformizing image quality in image reconstruction of diffuse optical tomography

(in English) In this paper, we investigate image reconstruction of the time resolved diffuse optical tomography (DOT). Normally, the DOT image is reconstructed by iterative methods such as Conjugate Gradient Method (CGM). However, there is a nonuniform image quality problem because these method are dependent on nonuniform spatial resolution and noise property. Concretely in the peripheral regions which has high spatial informationin, the spatial resolutions of pixels can be improved quickly, and the noise propagates easily. On the other hand, the reconstruction of the spatial resolution of pixels belongs to the central region is slow. In this work, we propose new reconstruction method to solve this problem and produce an uniform image quality. The proposed method uses pixel dependent step size for iterative update, which is determined to reconstruct uniform image resolution in preset arbitrary iteration. A simulation study was performed to evaluate the effectiveness by using the OS-Convex algorithm which is used in practice.
