In this paper, we describe a method that estimates position and rotation of mobile robots by using a motion parameter between a current image and memorized image. This method using a motion parameter enhances an existing method that estimates position of mobile robots based on view sequence. The motion parameter is calculated as combination of translation and rotation between two images. Our method realizes robot navigation in case of outside of recording pass and estimation of rotation of mobile robots by using the motion parameter. We discuss availability and precision of position and rotation for the proposed method from experimental results performed in an actual environment. |
