Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) It is known that by employing the binaural technique, the spatial information is recordable with only 2 microphones. When the binaural signal is reproduced via headphones, the sounds can be localized spatially although they are presented from the headphones. The binaural recording requires a dummy head that has to be as large as the actual human head. The size and weight of the dummy head seem to be one of the reason why this technique is not used widely in the consumer products. We propose a miniature head simulator system that can be used to record binaural signals without using devices that is as large as the conventional dummy head.
