In this study, we examined the range of reaching distance that this technique operated on effectively about we have proposed a technique of predicting the visually perceived location of the virtual object from the observer’s movement. In the experiments, the location at which the virtual object is presented is fixed and the start point of the movement of extending the hand as if to touch the virtual object is an experimental variable. The results of these experiments show that the error between the actual value and the predicted value of the visually perceived location of the virtual object does not vary with the movement start point conditions. From such results, we show that the visually perceived location of a virtual object can be predicted with little error, even if the reaching distance changes. |
