Low complexity antenna subset selection method using condition number of channel matrix

(in English) We have been studying a MIMO system that can transmit high-quality videos across wide area without outage. We have been trying to make a prototype macrodiversity receiver that can select proper diversity branches and combine the signals transmitted from a mobile broadcasting van and received on base stations deployed in the distance each other.
The low-complexity and practical antenna selection method is needed for hardware implementation. This report describes an antenna selection method which exploits the condition number of the channel matrix as a valuation basis, and a simple search algorithm which selects antennas that the condition number between each of them and the antenna with maximum received carrier-to-noise ratio (CNR) becomes smaller.
As a result of computer simulation, the bit error rate performance of the proposed method was confirmed to be improved largely compared to the one of CNR-based antenna selection method, although the small performance degradation was shown compared to the full search method.
