A dual-lamp projector has been developed that can display distinct pictures even in bright, spacious spaces. Two lamps are provided in a unique optical system to assure the brightness of 7,000 lumens and the high contrast ratio of 2,000 to 1, which are both the highest in their class. The arrangement of two parallel lamps completely has eliminated the effect of heat passing from one lamp to the other, which has helped secure stable brightness and long life. And high-brightness has been realized through the aspherical profile of the cover glass that is placed in front of the lamp, and the elaborate optical element that is placed on the beam-combining position. Furthermore, the combined use with the unique non-telecentric optical system, which is adopted from the conventional single-lamp model, helps maintain the high contrast ratio of 2,000 to 1. |
