| (in English) | We have demonstrated 64QAM-OFDM coherent optical transmission with a C2H2 frequency-stabilized fiber laser and an optical phase-locked loop (OPLL) circuit. In this report, we describe experimental result of 7ch-frequency-division-multiplexed and polarization-multiplexed 5 Gsymbol/s 64 QAM-OFDM (420 Gb/s) transmission. After 160 km transmission, we applied compensation for impairments due to fiber nonlinearity by using back propagation method and improved the bit error rate (BER) performance. As a result, a BER below the forward error correction (FEC) limit and a spectral efficiency as high as 10.4 b/s/Hz were successfully demonstrated. | |
