To elucidate the recognizable graphic marks for the partially sighted, we analyzed how 74 visually impaired people recognize graphic marks as raised dots of Braille. Through our experiments, we demonstrated the most recognizable mark from the five graphic marks which are actually used in National Kobe Rehabilitation Center for the Visually Disabled. We also analyzed the differences of the degree of recognition among the informants’ symptoms regarding their vision and chronological changes of their recognition for the marks. |
