GPS remote sensing is a methodology in which GPS satellites are applied for signal transmitters. In GPS remote sensing, most of past studies are based on the interference strategy which uses interactions between direct signals from GPS and reflected signals on soil surface. We discuss in this study about introducing polarization information of signals as additional information for retrieving features of the sensing object. Then, a new method is raised for solving several problems of the interference method, such problems as high dependency of the antenna gain. The new method uses the polarization state of reflected signals which can be identified only by signal power measurements. In the following section, it is reported about our experiments by the interference method in advance of introducing the new method. |
