| (in English) | In recent years, digital information on markets, weather, disaster and so on is needed even in maritime. Then Japanese Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) established the technical committee for ``maritime wireless ad-hoc network technology for efficient frequency use,'' using digitized 27MHz/40MHz bands marine radio. For this environment, in this paper, we propose a flooding scheme called ``DISCOUNT (DIStance and COUNTer) with Short Jitter'' to disseminate digital messages from a land base station to offshore vessels within as short delay as possible, and evaluate DISCOUNT-SJ as well as related schemes, say DISCOUNT and DISCOUNT-RS using simulation. Simulation results show that DISCOUNT-SJ suppress overhead and delay with delivery ratio high compared with DISCOUNT and DISCOUNT-RS. | |
