One of the solutions to operate Ka-band satellite under rainy condition is application of adaptive satellite communication systems. We developed bread board model of digital transponder equipment that can operate as a traditional bent-pipe type transponder and a regenerative transponder. We conducted experiments to evaluate this adaptive communication systems using KIZUNA satellite communication link. |
