Stochastic Node Departure Process and Alive-Node Connection for P2P Systems
Susumu Shibusawa, Mamoru Kobayashi, Hiroshi Ohno, Tatsuhiro Yonekura (Ibaraki Univ.) COMP2011-2
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Node departure from P2P system affects the maintenance of system, and managing the effect of node departure is very important. In this report, a node departure model of P2P system is introduced using renewal process, node departure time is derived for departure distributions, and a method to connect new nodes with each node are given. Since node departure interval of P2P systems is expressed with node residual lifetime, this report derives expected values of node departure time for several lifetime distributions. This report also shows a design to connect new nodes with each node stochastically and gives node connection conditions to satisfy the design.
