Nowadays, cognitive radio draws attention because it can raise frequency
utilization efficiency. For the cognitive radio, multimode receivers are required to make use of the empty frequency bands.
On the other hand, MIMO spatial multiplexing is also focused on to increase transmission capacity. Moreover, the MIMO-MMSE receiver has been applied to the multimode reception. However, it is well known that performances of the MMSE filter is inferior to those of the other techniques.
This paper proposes the structure of multimode MIMO-OSD receiver based on the heterodyne reception in order to improve BER performances.
As a result of computer simulation, the proposed receiver can achieve uperior BER performances even in the presence of strong imageband interference signals, and attain convergence within 200 symbols. |
