The explosive growth of the usage imposes the Internet to manage further flexibly, requiring more efficient traffic control. OpenFlow architecture is a promising technology for flexible switching and routing to achieve efficient traffic control. In OpenFlow networks, OpenFlow switches can change their action based on header information of an incoming packet. Therefore, OpenFlow architectures can control traffic based on various routing granularity such as destination IP address or TCP flows, etc. In this paper, we consider routing granularity selection schemes and investigate their effectiveness through simulation evaluations. |
