Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) The authors have been established the reliability evaluation methods using actual outage data of telecommunication networks systematically. In particular, ``R'', a free software environment for statistical computing
and graphics, is important to analyze outage data efficiently. As for the maintainability, that evaluates the facility in maintenance, the authors proposed the capability of computation based on parametric estimation of
statistical models for the time to repair distribution. Parametric estimation has the advantage of coordinating with the parameter and the action of maintenance, and making random numbers for simulation. It depends on the initial value for the optimization such as maximum likelihood method. Therefore, the optimal solution does not always be derived infallibly by one trial. On the other hand, non-parametric estimation including the kernel density does not depend on the initial value. However, the non-parametric evaluation of maintainability for telecommunication networks is not established. In this paper, the authors propose the non-parametric evaluation method of maintainability with kernel density. Moreover, improving the precision of the proposal is also shown. With our proposal, the result approximately conform to the parametric evaluation.
