Anisotropic characteristics in soluble organic semiconductors by using Floating Film Transfer method -- forming highly oriented film --

(in English) A highly oriented, large-area cast film consisted of a soluble polymer semiconductor, poly(3,3-quarterthiophene) (PQT12) has been successfully deposited by using the Floating-film Transfer Method (FTM). The size of a FTM film of PQT12 is almost reached to be around 5cm in diameter. A fine concentric orientation could be confirmed by the eye through a deflector plate. The anisotropic characteristics of carrier transport, optical absorption and film morphology were evaluated with Field-effect method, dichroic absorption and AFM topographs.
