Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Since the number of ambulant patients increases recently, medical facilities require systems which can monitor behaviors of staffs and patients automatically without any help of medical staffs. In the present study, we have developed a system which monitors trajectories and behaviors of a human by using a silicon retina, which operates spatial processing in real time with low power dissipation. We conducted some experiments in which a person moving variously is monitored by the system. The experimental results showed that the system can detect trajectories of human position under various situations robustly.
