A Method of Via-Point Extraction from Human Arm Movements Specified Movement Direction.

(in English) Point-to-point movements by human are reproduced by minimum-jerk model. If boundary conditions are given suitably, it is supposed that these models can reproduce not only the point-to-point movement but also other general movements. In this study, we extracted via-points from a movement trajectory specified via-points with movement direction. At first, the representation of human arm movements using via-points with movement direction was confirmed by searching the optimal combination. Next, via-points were extracted by a method proposed by Wada et al. As a result, although the extracted via-points collected at the same points, via-points were not extracted at the appropriate points in some trajectory. Therefore, locally optimal via-points about the trajectory error were extracted by shifting the candidates of the via-point. As a result, more suitable via-points were extracted from all measured trajectories.
