A Study of Throughput Performance of Relaying System According to Relay Station Function for Multi-hop Cellular System

(in English) In the next generation cellular system, relaying system is considered with relay station (RS) for improving the cell edge throughput. However, most of previously considered relaying system must change the specification of existing base station (BS). This change of BS specification increases the cost of relaying system and it becomes serious problem for relay system introduction. For this reason, we have considered the relaying system that requires no BS specification change. The throughput of that kind of relay system, in paticular, depends on the function added to a RS and information acquired in the RS. In this paper we compare the throughput of a relaying system by considaring the different RS function.
