Time Slot Allocation Scheme based on Data Traffic for Improving the Total Throughput in Wireless Sensor Networks

(in English) When enabling no-beacon mode in IEEE 802.15.4, high-throughput can be obtained for high-traffic networks by using its guaranteed time slot (GTS) mechanism. In our earlier works, the effective pre-schedule scheme, which reserves slots and assigns period of time to each slot according to transmission frequency of each sensor node, was proposed. However, this scheme requires much processing, i. e. estimation by simulation, time to decide the allocation pattern.
In order to save the processing time required to decide the allocation pattern, this paper proposes the fast GTS allocation scheme by narrowing the range of possible allocation pattern. Specifically, initial allocation pattern is decided with transmission frequency using proposed formula at first. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme for deciding the GTS allocation pattern can save much processing time compared with the earlier works.
