A Load Balancing Method with Detour Setting Algorithm in VP-OBS Networks

(in English) The resource of backbone networks is insufficient because of increasing of the internet traffic. We focus on VP-OBS (Virtual Path-OBS) in this paper. VP-OBS has an advantage of band width utilization and can ensure enough communication capacity. And, VP-OBS can distribute traffics to the entire network. However, routes tend to concentrate at a specific node because of network topology. As a result, contention will occur between bursts. In this paper, to solve the contention problem, we propose a Detour Setting Algorithm in VP-OBS networks. Contention will be avoided by using a detour at high-load nodes. We verify the effectiveness of the proposed method by computer simulations.
