| (in English) | More and more consumer electric devices as well as various sensors and actuators have network connectivity. It opens opportunities to create innovative services such as monitoring and controlling home and car appliances. However, ordinary Web browsers do not support protocols used by those devices, such as DLNA, ZigBee and Bluetooth. It is one of obstacles which prevent Web developers from realizing innovative services by connecting them. Moreover, it is not realistic to assume web browsers will cover all protocols used by any type of networked devices. To overcome the situation, we propose a platform enabling Web applications to access various types of devices with a generic way. We have implemented the platform and published the APIs for developers. This paper presents the architecture and new findings from the development. | |
