Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) A Parallel PFD configuration is effective for reducing the PLL phase noise. However, the phase noise reduction will degrade if the output noise of each PFD has some correlation. We have been proposed a parallel PFD PLL with multiple timing operation to reduce the noise correlation of PFDs. This paper proposes improved parallel PFD PLL, which automatically adjusts a delay of reference signal. The proposed parallel PFD PLL is demonstrated in Ku-band, realizing phase noise reduction without manual control of a delay of reference signal.
