Scalable Network Interface Technology for Terabit LAN

(in English) We discuss the requirements for Terabit LAN network interface employing the inverse-multiplexing onto the multiple wavelength paths that are assigned on-demand by a user’s request. Those requirements to be focused are the four functions; 100-Gbps-class flow processing, delay compensation under the distributed multi-routes in the wavelength network, the automatic setting of number of wavelength paths corresponding to on-demand bandwidth, and the quality-based bandwidth and flow controls. We have experimentally confirmed the technical feasibility of those functions for Terabit LAN network interface by using the newly-developed 40/100-Gbps-class evaluation broads, and successfully demonstrated .an efficient 100 Gbps Ethernet transport.
