Organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) has been recognized to show superior display characteristics to other display modes such as wide viewing angle, fast response and thin-and-light weight, and so various research works on the topic have been conducted aiming at their wide applications to flexible displays, flat illumination sources, and so on. However, OLEDs have still remained several problems such as lifetime and emission efficiency of the device and it is essential to improve these properties for further expanding of the application fields. In this study, we have reported the emission properties of OLEDs with various shaped hetero-interface structures and proved the insertion of an appropriate mixed layer to be very effective to improve the device performance. |
