FDTD Analysis of a Periodic Structure with a Dispersive Medium at Oblique Incidence

(in English) We investigate the wavelength characteristics of a periodic structure with a dispersive medium at oblique incidence, using the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method based on the periodic boundary condition.To treat the oblique incidence case, the split-field technique is applied to the FDTD method.In addition, the piecewise linear recursive convolution technique is introduced to take a dispersive medium into account.After formulation, we analyze the grating consisting of silver films on a $\rm{SiO_2}$ substrate to confirm the validity of the derived algorithm, and demonstrate that the surface plasmon is excited at the interface between the metal and dielectric materials.
