Reflection and transmission characteristics of the multilayer structure consisting of the metal grid and the lossy material layer

(in English) Recently artificial materials whose values of permittivity or permeability are negative are often studied. In this paper we assume that an array of metallic rods whose length are infinitely long is as an artificial material, and bring out its permittivity characteristics. In the next place we show the applications which use the negative value of the perittivity. The applications are the materials for the control of the transmission and reflection by the layer stack of wire-mesh and other dielectric or magnetic sheets. We investigated the characteristics of layered samples including lossy materials and the effects of the order of the stack.
