JAXA works on a study of a digital power converter for future technology. Almost satellites don’t have a digital power converter since Satellites have had a power converter with an analog circuit ever. There are examples of using a power converter with digital peak-power-tracking function for small satellites. This function is usually achieved by hill-climbing-method, but there are many capacitance for stability of a bus voltage at the transient, because hill-climbing-method have low responsive for the transient.
In this paper we describe the result of experimental production tests for the digital power converter which has functions of peak-power-tracking by newton-method and multiphase control. We get a high responsive for transient and low capacitance for stability of a bus voltage. |
