Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) We demonstrate long-haul WDM transmission of 45 channels of 50GHz spaced 112Gbps PM-QPSK signal using a FPGA-based real time digital coherent receiver. We verify post FEC error free operation for all channels after 1072km of SSMF. In addition, we study the influence of nonlinear effects caused by 40Gbps and 10Gbps neighboring channels to 112Gbps signal. We demonstrate that the penalty caused by XPM in the case of 10Gbps channels is 1.0dB whereas it is limited to 0.32dB in the case of 40Gbps channels, which is comparable to the case of 112Gbps channels.
