| (in English) | Virtual machine hosting service, which is called IaaS(Infrastructure as a Service) attracts attention these days. IaaS enables users to operate virtualization environment through network. Therefore if virtual machines become disconnected from network, there is no way for user to recover. It is unrealistic approach that hosting service manager recovers to various kinds of virtual machines. Usually users are requested to backup virtual machine image on their own storage beforehand. When something happens to virtual machine, users can recover failure on user’s site by using backup file, and transfer image to IaaS again. However this method usually cause following problems. One is that recovery time becomes extended because of the time loss caused by transferring image file and the other is that network load on IaaS platform becomes high, which is triggered by large data transfer. To solve these problems, we propose a new method whose users can recover their virtual machines by themselves on IaaS. |
