A Study on Phase Rotation Precoding Method for MIMO Correlated Channel

(in English) This paper presents Phase Rotation (PR) method as a transmit precoding for MIMO correlated channel.We assume that MIMO channel is represented by Kronecker Model and that there is spatial correlation only among transmit antennas.PR method can reduce the influence of spatial correlation by rotating transmit symbols by a certain phase angle.
For conventional PR, the phase angle is obtained with complex correlation coefficient as statistical information of MIMO channelto reduce a effect of spatial correlation the receiver needs to feedback information for the PR to the transmitter.In a conventional method, the PR method has been investigated under two transmit antennas scenario.
We propose the PR method with instant CSI. Using instant CSI can obtain the better performance than conventional PR method.
However, receiver send information for PR more often than the conventional method. We also investigate a quantization of phase information to reduce a cost of the feedback. Feedback cost can be reduced with quantized phase angle.The simulation results showed that the proposed PR method provides better performance than conventional PR method's with the same feedback cost.
