3D Reconstruction by using a Wearable ProCam System for Remote Collaboration

(in English) We have been studying a remote collaboration system in which an instructor gives instructions to a remote worker using a reconstructed 3D geometric model around the worker.
Major problems of our previous system include that 3D measurement by a stationary rangefinder is often hindered by the worker herself, and that a head mounted display is not comfortable to use in a longer period.
In this article, proposed is a wearable ProCam system consisting of a small projector and a camera mounted on a worker's torso.
Also discussed are the characteristics of the proposed system as well as its technical challenges.
Some early results of 3D reconstruction with a prototype system are also reported.
