Evaluation of Cooperative Cache Method for Large-scale Video Contents Delivery System

(in English) With the increase in volume of video traffic, the cache system is getting a lot more attention lately from the carrier to reduce the costs. However, if the cache system stores the current video contents, there is few effect of it. That is because, due to popularity of UGCs (User Generated Contents) on the video-sharing site, the video contents have following properties. First, the contents size is getting bigger. Second, the contents access frequency distribution has long-tail property. Third, the popular contents are changed over a short amount of time. In this paper, we evaluate performance of the cache system to the video contents by using access trend information in one video-sharing site, and study the efficient video caching system based on the evaluation results.
