The keyboard is usually used for inputting characters to computers and cell phones etc. But it is difficult to input for person with fingers disorder and in environment without a keyboard. We propose a method by aerial roman character drawing. The motion of wrist is detected by 3-axis acceleration sensor.
This paper presents experimental results for recognition evaluation. Four cases are examined, that is, single sensor or two sensors and without voiced consonant character or with voiced consonant character. It is verified all cases realize the same recognition success ratio. The prospect for character drawing by single sensor with voiced consonant character has been obtained by experiment.
