Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Dichromats experience difficulty to distinguish the difference of specific colors. In this report, we propose a contrast improvement method of indiscriminable colors for dichromats by using the Craik-O'Brien effect. The Craik-O'Brien effect is the optical illusion in which an imaginary contrast is generated by contour information. The proposed method modifies lightness component of object contour in an input image based on difference of colors so that lightness contrast in dichromatic color vision is improved by the Craik-O'Brien effect. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by experiments.
