| (in English) | Generally, a brain-computer interface (BCI) using a visual evoked potential (VEP) has been realized by means of discriminating a peek frequency of a steady-state VEP induced by blinking photic stimuli at the frequency of around 10 Hz. Therefore, it was necessary to use blinking photic stimuli with different frequencies and the same number of possible choices. However, the number of blinking photic stimuli induced the VEP is limited. In this study, we examined the possibility of a BCI with 3 possible choices by only single 10 Hz blinking photic stimulus. For realizing this BCI, it is necessary to discriminate among the 3 VEPs during gazing at the center, the right side, and the left side of photic stimulus. From the results, it was found that the accuracies of discrimination between the 2 VEPs during gazing at the right side and the left side of photic stimulus was high by utilizing the transient VEP analysis. | |
