In this research, the authors utilize the angle
dependence on T2 relaxation for detecting minute
rupture caused on the Achilles tendon. The proposed method has three parts : (1)getting multiple MRI images changing the angle between orientation of static magnetic field and fiber direction of specimen, (2)registrating the MRI images and getting signal intensity profile on each pixel, (3)applying ideal model of the angle dependence of FID signal intensity to the data and evaluating disorder of collagen fiber orientation. |
