Performance Evaluation of LTE/LTE-Advanced Heterogeneous Network with High Power Pico Base Stations

(in English) Recently, data traffic is increasing in mobile communication systems. Against this trend, LTE/LTE-Advanced heterogeneous network (HetNet) using cell range expansion (CRE) based cell association between macro and pico base stations is expected as effective solution. In this paper, we evaluate the system performance of that HetNet deploying high power pico base stations and compare the performance to system performance of that HetNet deploying conventional low power pico base stations.
