In the jointing of coated optical fibers, It needs the alignment error reducing of the fiber core which is come from the dimensional tolerance of the fiber-coating. We utilize the technique to remove the fiber coating of the fiber end with a pressure force to improve the accuracy of the fiber core alignment, and joint the optical fibers on a V-shaped alignment groove. We reveal the alignment length and the coating strip length to joint the optical fiber, and the condition of the fiber to avoid its breaking. And, we realize the removing the fiber coating with a pressure force and the jointing the optical fibers at the same time. |
