A resonance type absorbable material to attenuate for industrial noise caused by machines was developed. If we find the target frequency that should be most highly attenuated by the tuned resonant, as the absorbable materials, there are Helmholtz resonator and acoustic tube which resonates at 1/4 wavelength etc. In this paper, cans for drink whose length are small, weight are light and cost are cheap to get were used to attenuate sound power level. First, the relationship between the occupancy rates of vibration area that was covered with the acoustic tube area and the attenuation of sound power levels was studied. As a result, the high correlation between them was obtained. Second, whether the space between a loudspeaker and the acoustic tube is affected by attenuation, and whether the vibration of the bottom of an acoustic tube is affected by attenuation were experimentally discussed. From the results, it can be found that (a) the tube was worked as closing the both side of tube, and (b) the attenuation was obtained over 14dB from 250 Hz to 3 kHz without the vibration of the tube bottom. Lastly, the effect of the acoustic tube to sound field was measured with the sound intensity measurement system by our microphone probe proposed. |
