We propose a method of directivity design based on Reinforcement Learning.
Reinforcement Learning is one of the machine learning algorithms that an agent acquires autonomously the action that maximizes reward to get from environment. A directivity pattern formed by an ultra sonic array sensor is controlled by the sensitivity adjustment of each sensor element and/or placement of sensor elements. The optimization of these items is essential to improve the measurement performance of ultra sonic array sensor although it is quite difficult to optimize the design of an ultra sonic array sensor constructed by many sensor elements. We demonstrated that the proposed method based on the reinforcement learning achieved sidelobe suppression by giving a simple reward. |
