Single-mode photonic crystal fiber with large effective area of more than 200 um2

(in English) We propose a new photonic crystal fiber design with a W-shaped effective index profile to achieve the largest effective area for telecommunication. We report to realize an effective area of 220 m2 while achieving both a cable cut-off wavelength of less than 1300 nm and a bending loss compatible with ITU-T Recommendations G. 654~656.
