For realizing communications systems with very high sense-of-presence, technologies to record and re- produce three dimensional sound field are important. Higher-order Ambisonics (HOA) is a promising technique to render three dimensional sound spaces precisely. HOA is also applicable to record three dimensional sound spaces accurately. Thus, we have developled a microphone array using a spherically distributed 121 small digital ECMs for applying HOA. With his array, HOA recording up to 9th order, the highest order realized in the world at present, can be realized. In this report, the system configuration and the recording specifications are discussed. |
