| (in English) | In chapters two and three of my book “Maybe she just wants to breathe”I discuss how the connection (fusion) of body and machine can be welcomed and the mental preparation and attitude required to enable this acceptance of technology into the patient's life to endure. I also discuss what those of us who do not have direct experience of either the disease or the technology in question must take into consideration on a daily basis when taking care of people living with machines. Drawing on my own experience I talk about the ways of thinking and approaches needed to maintain a happy relationship between body and machine. | |
